Yoyo Mom just spent a fashion packed three days at the 25th edition of Playtime Paris. This children and maternity salon has become one of the top (if not the top) trade shows for kid’s fashion and lifestyle. Each Playtime edition, I enjoy gathering together to meet the up and coming and established independent fashion designers and lifestyle brands in Paris and discover their future up and coming collections. As this tradeshow is only open to buyers and press, here are a few sneak peeks to see what is to come in children’s fashion next winter!
Timeless, eco-friendly fashion is very common among several kids wear brands. More and more designers are finding it important to use natural materials and recycled fabrics. They are also communicating transparent manufacturing practices. This timeless fashion trend also translates into unisex fashion with natural earthy colour palettes.
Family is also a key upcoming trend. Quite a few brands are not only offering fashion for kids and teens, but also for women. Family was also a featured trend (The Creative Gang) in the Playtime trend spaces this year.
In terms of baby goods, two favorites include new comer Élhée and the amazing silicone designer baby bottle as well as Minty Wendy who makes a series of beautiful teething jewellery, two perfect gifts for babies.
A few incontournables that don’t always care about trends, but are full of color and fun for kids… are veggie brand Myum, and other brands including Gardner and the Gang, Milk on the Rocks, Wonder & Wander, Jellymallow, Tambere, Once, and Unauthorized.
Une marque que j’ai adorée en particulier est The New Society. Leur collection automne-hiver est particulièrement belle et regorge de vestes et de pantalons aux coupes et aux couleurs magnifiques.
L’incontournable, Bobo Choses lancera une collection sur le thème du Cosmos. Bien qu’aucune photo ne soit autorisée, vous pouvez sûrement imaginer les magnifiques imprimés et les couleurs évoquées dans ce thème. La collection automne-hiver 2019-20 et aussi la collection printemps-été 2019 est disponible pour homme et femme.
