On January 28th, the children and maternity trade show Playtime Paris launched their 21st edition with the hustle and bustle of over 500 creative designers around the world gathering together in one meeting place.  With a well designed new digital smartphone application and website, the Playtime team offers buyers and designers the opportunity to meet face to face to present their collections for the Fall/Winter 2017-18 season.

Throughout the numerous Playtime editions, whether in Paris, New York, Tokyo, and now Berlin, several designers also get the chance to meet and build friendships and collaborations. Far less hostile and diva driven than the adult fashion industry, the children’s fashion universe has enough room in the market for new and established brands to present their latest collections and acquire new clients.

As the presentations for Fall Winter 2017-18 are revealed at Playtime, trends are definitely moving toward dreamy textures with muted pastel and retro color palettes, as well as an overall well being for day to day life and standing up and respecting the environment and our planet.
